Item Design and Development of Digital Repository of Biodiversity for Bharathidasan University(Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2023) Jaya Suriya, Dheva R.S.; Gayathri, S.; Srinivasaragavan, S.Organizing the information resources into different studies in physical form as well as in a digital form in a library is very much necessary to bring posterity of the knowledge which is available in the public domain. It is very relevant to carry out the collection and organization of specific resources which belong to a particular region and also exhibit the same to make aware of the importance of the resources pertinent to the particular region. It may be of social, it may be of cultural, it may be of historical, or it may be of lingual. In that context, heritage documentation is very relevant. The processes used to make sure that digital materials remain accessible are referred to as "digital preservation." All the procedures designed to maintain the availability of digital biodiversity resources for as long as they are required can be grouped under the umbrella term of digital preservation.Item Right adrenal Hematoma causing partial small bowel obstruction in a term neonate(The Jaffna Medical Association, 2023) Sanseevan, H.; Manivannan, S.; Thagshanaa, C.; Gayathri, S.; Dayasiri, M.B.K.C.; Srisaravanapavathan, N.; Nawarathne, M. V. D.Adrenal haematoma in the neonate commonly occurs during the first week of life and usually proceeded by either mechanical trauma or metabolic stresses including hypoxia, hypovolaemia, septicaemia and coagulopathy. Haematomas commonly present with abdominal mass, anemia and hypovolaemia. The authors report a large for gestational age male newborn who presented with partial small bowel obstruction following adrenal haematoma in a background of an otherwise uneventful vaginal delivery. Although this presentation is extremely rare, it is important to timely investigate all sick newborns with presentations which mimic acute surgical abdomen. Accurate diagnosis enables both avoidance of unnecessary surgical explorations and optimal conservative management.
