The uniqueness of this study lies in its integration of various concepts of innovation readiness and business simulation design, providing a holistic framework for enhancing organizations' ability to innovate. Additionally, the study incorporates theories such as Cognitive Flexibility Theory, change efficacy, change valence, and experiential learning to create a business simulation game. The anticipated outcomes are twofold. Firstly, the establishment of a set of design principles will guide future research endeavors and aid in the development of similar simulations. Secondly, the creation of a robust simulation game will enable organizations to enhance their level of innovation readiness, leading to better and faster innovations.Item Examining the Role of Multitasking on Academic Performance of University Undergraduates.(8th International Conference on Business & Information ICBI – 2017, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka., 2017) Perera, S.; Yatigammana, M. R. K. N.; Sarathchandra, K. S. H.Nowadays, majority of the youth use more than one information and communication technologies such as smart phones, tablets and laptops. These devices allow them to do many activities simultaneously such as talk on the phone while check the Facebook account and listen to music while studying, or surfing internet with more than one site on the web. Thus, it is important to investigate whether this multitasking behavior of the undergraduates will effect on their academic performance. The purpose of this study is to examine the university students’ multitasking behavior and to determine the impacts of this multitasking on their university Grade Point Average (GPA). The population of this study was 3rd and 4th year undergraduates of the Department of Commerce and Financial Management of University of Kelaniya. A random sample of 100 is taken. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. A pilot study with 30 students has done to check the reliability of the questionnaire. The data analysis showed that there is a significant negative impact of ICT Usage and Internet skills on GPA. Also, there is a significant negative impact of Multitasking behavior on GPA. Further, the multitasking is a mediating factor between Internet skills, ICT usage and GPA of the undergraduates. The findings of the study revealed that, concentrating too many activities at one time leads to decrease the academic performance of the undergraduates.Item Factors Affecting Intention to use Mobile Money Service in Sri Lanka: Moderating Effect of Demographic Factors with reference to Western Province of Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya., 2021) Sanjeewa, H. H. D.; Yatigammana, M. R. K. N.Mobile money service allows mobile users to perform financial transactions using their mobile phones which helps to decline the physical use of money. Therefore, the objective of the study was to identify the factors affecting intention to use mobile money service in Sri Lanka and the relationship between those identified factors and intention to use mobile money services. Further, the study is carried out to assess the moderating impact of demographic factors on the relationship between those factors and the intention to use mobile money. The data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire from 400 randomly selected participants of Western province Sri Lanka. Usefulness, trust, risk, awareness, and knowledge are identified as the key factors affecting the intention to use mobile money service. There was a significant positive relationship between usefulness, trust, awareness, and knowledge with the intention to use mobile money while the risk was significantly negative. Further, the moderating impact of demographic factors on the above-identified five factors was assessed and it was noted that gender and age do not moderate the relationship between the above-identified five factors and user intention, but income level and job title moderate the relationship between above-identified factors and user intention. Based on the results of the study it is recommended that mobile telecom operators should take actions to increase usefulness, trust, awareness and knowledge while taking actions to decrease the risk factors involving in the service. Further, it is recommended to consider education level and working experience as moderating demographic factors of factors effecting on intention to use mobile money services.Item ICT aided skill enhancement for moderately hearing-impaired youth(Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Nambuwasam, S. G.; Liyanage, S. R.; Yatigammana, M. R. K. N.Hearing impairment is a prominent sensory disability in the world. Baker et. al (2017) state that hearing- impaired persons account for over 5% from the world’s population. Though moderately hearing-impaired youth have good eyesight, they have difficulty in reading and writing text-based content due to their inadequate hearing. The inadequate hearing negatively affects their education and makes them low literate and unemployed in the society. If hearing-impaired youth are literate in ICT, more employment opportunities will be available for them in the industry such as graphic designers, computer hardware technicians, etc. Current study focusses on the development of e-learning materials for hearing impaired youth to improve their ICT literacy and competency in order to enhance their employability. We also attempt to identify a suitable methodology to develop e-learning materials targeting moderately hearing-impaired youth to provide ICT literacy skills. The aim of the research addresses the ICT related vocational training of moderately hearing-impaired youth through the development of ICT literacy skills. The research objectives are to identify learning theory, to determine a content development model, to design interactive e-learning material and to assess the applicability of the designed interactive e-learning material to provide ICT literacy for moderate hearing-impaired youth in ICT related vocational training. Based on the literature survey, Constructivism has been identified as a learning theory and the Learnativity content development model as a suitable content development model to provide ICT literacy for moderately hearing-impaired youth. Web based interactive e-learning material has been designed by incorporating text, graphics and audio to suit the requirements of the moderately hearing-impaired youth. A simple quiz is provided at the end of the interactive e-learning material to measure the participants understanding on the provided learning content. The sample participants will be selected using the random sampling technique to test the designed interactive e-learning material. Data will be gathered from the observations, questionnaires and interviews. Participants’ feedback on their interactive e-learning experience is collected using the questionnaire and the interviews. Collected data will be analyzed using a statistical package. Results obtained after analyzing the data will be used to determine the applicability of the interactive e-learning material to provide ICT literacy for moderately hearing-impaired youth. Providing e-learning opportunities to be literate in ICT for moderately hearing-impaired youth is vital because the general education and vocational training of hearing-impaired learners has been drastically affected by the pandemic and the economic crisis of the world.Item Role of E-learning in Providing Lifelong Learning.(8th International Conference on Business & Information ICBI – 2017, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka., 2017) Yatigammana, M.
