dc.description.abstractThe aim of this article is to acquaint the reader with problematics of industrial maintenance. The first part of the article deals with the historical overview of maintenance itself. There are different definitions and approaches to maintenance, some of them are presented with the most used maintenance types of breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, RCM, and TPM.
