Abstract
The contemporary healthcare industry faces challenges in delivering great patient care through a dedicated and engaged workforce. The main objective of this study is to analyze the impact of workplace spirituality on organizational citizenship behaviour in a selected hospital in the healthcare industry. Drawing on existing literature and theories, this study examines how spiritually enriched workplace fosters extra-role behaviours. Hence, this was a quantitative and cross-sectional study that was based on employees in the healthcare industry. The conceptual framework illustrates the interplay between workplace spirituality and organizational citizenship behaviour. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using the simple random sampling technique, and data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings reveal that workplace spirituality has a positive impact on organizational citizenship behaviour. These findings have significant implications for management, including recommendations to foster workplace spirituality and enhance organizational citizenship behaviour for organizational success, in areas where human capital is most important.
